Last weekend we enjoyed a craft day with my sister and sister-in-law.
They both managed to complete pages for the competition while I caught up with my Project Life.
Here is my sister’s blog……..
I loved this challenge – thanks for the inspiration Page Maps and enjoy your anniversary.

Thanks for looking.
I managed to finish this page which brings back some lovely memories. Every year when I was a child me and my grandmother Lily would take a trip to visit my aunty and uncles house over the summer holidays. In 1985 after visiting the garden (I was 11) I went back to my Aunty’s house and drew the garden on some paper. Last year when going through some of her old photos she gave me the picture. Such lovely memories as the garden was soooo beautiful. The photos were taken in 1987 I think by my dad or Aunty and shows my little sister, cousin, aunty and grandmother lily in them
Thanks for the lovely memories Aunty Jen!!!
Today I met up with my sister-in-law and sister and we decided to all take on the challenge. After laughing and giggling about each others lists – we set out designing our own, and I was really pleased with my result.
Here are a couple of close-ups
Here is my complete list …..
Thanks to both my sister-in-law and sister in joining me in this and I know they will be posting their fantastic pages soon too. I’ve had a really good fun day. x x x
When loading my pictures onto my blog I noticed that one of my list had been duplicated. I was gutted. But luckily I had kept my information, so I’ve charged it, re-printed it, and thank goodness it’s ok now, phew!!
I found this lovely sketch from pagemaps from their January 2012 archives.
I am trying to document my childhood, so when I get spare days like this it is great looking back at old photos. These photos from 1979 makes me smile. I think it is the innocent smiles on our faces. I certainly look very proud in my Nurses outfit.
Fab memories. x
I love reading the blog and the design sketches on Page Maps. For some unknown reason I got excited when I saw this competition http://www.pagemaps.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/bella-blvd-sketch-contest.html
………….so I thought I would give it a go. I am trying to scrap a load of childhood photos, and I knew straight away what pictures I would use. Some from a very hot sunny Crete family holiday.
My only real nightmare was after drawing pencil lines for my hand writing and carefully writing, I went to rub out the lines and the pen smudged everywhere. I was lucky and it allowed me to rub everything out and start again. Next time, test on a small piece of paper first, and use perm ink!
I used…..
Background – Basic Grey Motifica Jade Paper
Tim Holk, Kraft Core Nostalgic Collection.
(I’m not very good on the sewing machine, so I hand stitched around the page).
Smash Tape – K&Company
Page Title Stickers – Daisy Dandelion Velour
Footprints – EK success Classic Stickers
Small Title & Date – Simple Stories Year-o-graph Expressions Cardstock
Thanks loads for giving me the inspiration Page Maps!!
I can’t believe I have managed to finish my March page of Project 12 on time. Phew!! I am really enjoying the challenge of using my 365 photos that I have taken every day. I’m still finding it difficult to write about the month, and I’m certainly learning along the way.
The original sketch for March 2010 was:
This month I am proud to use a couple of stamps which I hadn’t used before and which I already had in my stash. I also used the happy birthday embellishment from one of my birthday cards. Hope you don’t mind Aunty Jen, it was too cute to throw away. I also enjoyed sewing onto the page.
Another month over and already I’m looking forward to the next. April will cover Easter and BTCC at Donington, so there will be lots of fun and action. I can’t wait. x
Over the last couple of months I have managed to catch up with some scrapbook pages that I have had planned for a while…. I hope you like them…..
I’m a little behind, but still pleased to have completed my second Project 12 double page.
It was action packed this month, with a heavy snowfall at the start, with a holiday to Disneyland Paris, and the month ended with very foggy days.
The original sketch was from February 2012
I lived the number of photos and small squares and circules in this original sketch.
Here is my finished page:
Was pleased with the final page, although I may add a few more emblishments at the months go on. I’ve also tried to add more journalling this month.
Not sure why the pictures have turned around (will try and sort this out).
Thanks to Liz for the mickey die-cuts and spotty paper!
I’m looking forward to the March page already.
