Project 12 – March 2012

I can’t believe I have managed to finish my March page of Project 12 on time. Phew!! I am really enjoying the challenge of using my 365 photos that I have taken every day. I’m still finding it difficult to write about the month, and I’m certainly learning along the way.

The original sketch for March 2010 was:

This month I am proud to use a couple of stamps which I hadn’t used before and which I already had in my stash. I also used the happy birthday embellishment from one of my birthday cards. Hope you don’t mind Aunty Jen, it was too cute to throw away. I also enjoyed sewing onto the page.

Another month over and already I’m looking forward to the next. April will cover Easter and BTCC at Donington, so there will be lots of fun and action. I can’t wait.  x

Project 12 – February 2012

I’m a little behind, but still pleased to have completed my second Project 12 double page.
It was action packed this month, with a heavy snowfall at the start, with a holiday to Disneyland Paris, and the month ended with very foggy days.

The original sketch was from February 2012

I lived the number of photos and small squares and circules in this original sketch.
Here is my finished page:

Was pleased with the final page, although I may add a few more emblishments at the months go on. I’ve also tried to add more journalling this month.

Not sure why the pictures have turned around (will try and sort this out).
Thanks to Liz for the mickey die-cuts and spotty paper!

I’m looking forward to the March page already.

Project 12 – January 2012

Project 12 has finally arrived, and I can’t believe that I have managed to scrap my first pages already.

This is the first year for me trying the challenge, and I didn’t want to get behind. Last year I successfully completed project 365, but my photos are only stored neatly on my PC. I will get around to creating a photobook at some stage. This year i’m going to be creative and combine the photos on a monthly scrapbook page along with some journalling. I’m not very good at putting my words onto paper, but thought I would give it a go.

What do you think?

The original sketch was from January 2010.
It’s a pretty simple and a clean design but I love it all the same.

I was lucky as my sister was placing a scrapbook order, so I ordered some of the fab Bo Bunny AD LIB pages. They were just perfect for January.

I used white and grey Brazil basics for the background. The patterned paper was Bo Bunny AD LIB, Scribbles, Hoopla & Vertigo. The document sticker was also from AD LIB. The 2012 numbers were from a papermania docrafts. Everything else was from my stash, including using punches for the individual photo numbers.

I really enjoyed this month, and i’ve been extremely lucky with how easy everything has come together. I’m not expecting February to be as straight forward, but I’m looking forward to the challenge all the same.

I can’t leave the month, without says thanks to Liz for the idea and my wonderful hubby who gave me time yesterday to scrap! x
