Project Life 2013: Week 19

What a nightmare, I’ve got some photos printed from Tesco. However I’ve managed to miss this week out completely.

I will have to come back and complete this week a bit later :( frustrating for me when I tend to work in a chronological order. Here’s my sketch layout for now….

Project Life 2013: Catchup

Well I’m over 2 months behind. Where does the time go??
We’ve had some nice adventures over the time and I’m going to try and document them as good as I can.

I’ve got some of the 4×6 photos developed, so I just need to fill in the gaps….wish me luck.

Project Life 2013: Week 18

WOW that’s another week finished, phew!!! Being up to date is such a good motivation.

Its been a fun filled week. School and work was the usual, but this week gave us a little look at spring ahead.
double page

Page 1 shows us our normal everyday. Phil and Tom playing after work/school. The spring and sunshine. Tom enjoying beavers on Monday and the badges he has been awarded.

Page 2 shows us the fun we have at the weekend.

Saturday was about buying a new trailer for our car and visiting the Nottingham Contemporary. They had some of the children’s work from Nottingham Schools. They also had some children friendly fun… try drawing a picture without taking your pen off the paper. Tom drew a boat.

Sunday we visited Drayton Manor for the day to celebrate Bradley’s Birthday. We had birthday cake and lots of laughter and fun. Tom’s favourite ride was G Force, which is one of the parks Thrill Rides, and travels at a speed of 70kmp. The park was open until 6.30pm so we had lots of fun and even the sun came out for a bit. On the way home we stopped at Frankie and Bennys for tea.

My favouriate photos of the week are:
Tom and Phil playing with the micro machines and blowing out birthday candle at teatime.

I have to admit It’s not been hard to catch up. Stay focused and keep recording your everyday in a book to help jog your memory, and try to keep your pages clean and neat to make it easier and quicker. x

Project Life 2013: Weeks 14-16 Completed

Well i’m a little behind (6 weeks). Yikes!!!!
I’ve worked hard over the past week so I’m catching up slowly and now I’m only 3 weeks behind.

Week 14 was the Start of the Easter Holidays 1st-7th April.
We had so many fun days that it was easier to record them in one of the 3×4 pockets. Our favourite days were going on the bike ride in lovely sunshine, and enjoying Grandad’s 1000th walk. Nice memories.

Week 15 – was the 2nd week of the Easter Holidays. 7th to 14th April.
Monday was a surprise fun day out to LEGOLAND. We have also found a new hobby Geocaching which is fun. I enjoyed both Thursday and Sunday where I met both my Sister and Sister-in-law. This is what holidays are all about.

Week 16 was back to normality of school and work 15th April to 21st April.
This week we bought and had fitted a new tow-bar. Watch out for the cycle carrier and new trailer in the next couple of weeks. We also had a fun weekend at Donington Park, which included 1 sunny day and 1 cold day and some fab BTCC motorsport action.

Project Life 2013 Update: Weeks 14-19

Ouch does anybody else bury their heads in the sand and hope that things will catch up magically. I think that’s what I have been doing knowing I was behind with my project life

By tomorrow I will be 6 weeks behind – that’s scary. The same happened last year when I was completing Project 12. I think it’s to do with the clocks springing forward and the lighter nights. As a family we tend to do more and relax in the evening garden’s sunlight.

I’ve had a bit of a catch-up over this weekend. I’m going to try and complete the first 3 weeks, and I’m hoping to have organised the layout of the next 3 too.

I’ve already had some of the 4×6 printed, so I should be able to fill in the gaps. Pictures of incomplete weeks 14 & week 15.

I’ve found it useful (if nothing else) to record the week we’ve had on a Sunday/Monday. I know this is going to help loads when catching up on the missed weeks.

Thanks for sticking with me and please come back later in the week, when I hope to post my missed weeks on  The Mom Creative website  on Tuesday 14th May 2013. x

Project Life 2013: Week 13 – Easter

Easter Holidays – and I’m a week behind. But I don’t mind we’ve had so much fun it’s going to be great documenting it. I hope you’ve had fun too.

Right back to Week 13 : 25th – 31st March. So much happened that I’ve got a couple of inserts this week.

Page 1  & Insert : Monday-Friday. I love the picture of Tom fast asleep in bed.

Insert & Egg Hunt
Saturday was a lovely day meeting up with my sisters in a lovely café in Chesterfield called Koo. We enjoyed lunch and yummy cakes for pudding. Phil and Tom secretly made me a fudge birthday cake (thanks for Phil for taking some pics). I’ve decided to keep the directions we made for Tom’s Easter Egg Hunt. We kept it inside as it was soooo cold, but Tom loved it all the same. (For the Cadbury’s Easter Egg I used Egg Wrapping Paper).

Yorkshire Sculpture Park & Page 2
As Easter Sunday was also my birthday we had an action packed day. Tom completed his Easter Egg hunt as soon as we woke up. After breakfast in bed I got to open all my fab cards and presents (Thanks to everyone). We decided as it was dry (but cold) we would travel up to visit the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, just off Junction 38 on the M1. We had a lovely picnic and walk around. I loved the birthday cake the boys had made the day before. It was a great surprise and very yummy!! I’ve also backed one of the Easter pics with some Easter Egg wrapping. :)

This week one of my favourite pictures of the week the 3 of us at the Sculpture Park.

Project Life 2013: Week 12

Its been a good week, lots of photos to choose from, but I’ve not been able to get motivated in finishing my pages. But hey – I’m persisted and I am happy to have finished. I am loving the project and flicking back through the pages.

What have we been up to in Week 12 – March 15th – 21st?

The start of the week was cold, but with the brighter evenings we got out for a walk. I also tried to document a bit about Tom – School & Lunchbox.

By Friday we had more snow – brrrrrrrrrr. I can’t believe I am going to say this but I’ve had enough now.

Saturday we woke up to a lot of snow, so much that I didn’t want to brave the elements for the Hobbycraft show at the NEC. I was gutted but on the plus side Tom went to his friends house and I caught up on some scrapbooking!! Yehhh :) In the evening we enjoyed a friends surprise 40th Birthday Party.

On Sunday Phil drove us to the NEC (See my post here). We picked up my sister Clare on route, and met Liz there. The men then drove the kids to the Sealife Centre Birmingham. We had a fab day shopping and nattering.

One of my favourite pictures of the week was Tom showing us what experiments they tried during Science Week at school last week.

Project Life 2013: Week 10

Wow what a difference to last week – I’ve LOVED completing this week.

Thanks to my sister-in-law Liz for the handbag idea. Check out her blog – 30 Days of Lists.
The receipt, ticket and a mountain of pens was found in my handbag – what’s hiding in yours?

Mothers day is always really special, and this year Tom seemed to have a better understanding. He made me breakfast and was nice to me all day. I had 3 beautiful cards (2 hand-made) a bunch of daffodils and a notebook especially to document my project life. Phil made lunch and we enjoyed a lovely Moore family day. The photo of Grace and Tom is so cute.  I’m sure all 4 mums enjoyed the day – thanks to both of my boys for a special day. x

What have I enjoyed about this week? I’ve:

  • Felt better by not feeling pressured to take a photo everyday.
  • Enjoyed backing some photos and journaling with this weeks colour choice.
  • Tried stamping again.
  • Loved included a quote from Tom.
  • Left more white space/borders around my pictures.
  • I find it so much easier planning my week before printing out any pictures.
  • Next week I want to span a photo over more than 1 pocket and also include a couple of black and white photos.
