Points of Interest and LINKS:
Gatehouse of Fleet Cally Estate Fleet Forest
Cally Palace Cally Gardens

General:
203 of 205 'AA' Walks completed. Started from end of footpath on Ann Street. Sylvia reading her book in car under the cool shade of trees. Walked into town and followed old main road from clock tower, past war memorial, pond & dam, up hill to Cally Estate Gatehouse. Continued into Fleet Forest along Cally Palace Road, but soon turned towards picnic area at '3'. Two retired men enjoying a picnic and a relaxing read in the warm weather, with their dog patiently waiting for a walk. Follow coloured collared posts along good path through wood and over wooded bridge to road by Bush Bridge, on right. Bush Bridge takes road over a deep ravine. From path turned left along road following yellow posts, passing Bush Park & Bush Loch on left. At 'T' junction of good tracks at '6', take track to right towards new by-pass. At hedge and fence alongside new by-pass, take small path to right slightly up hill. Follow bridle path posts to cross tracks and take left track for approximately 100 yards to original good track from '7' to '8'. I tried to find 'The Temple' folly by turning left to '7' under by-pass culvert. No sighting of folly so I turned back under by-pass culvert and continued to gate by cottage. Follow yellow posts again at '9' and continue ahead on rough road to road junction at '11'. Yellow posts turn to right, but turn sharp left along road. At '12' take overgrown passage through gate, on the right of 'Lakeview Cottage' and opposite 'Cally Palace' sign. No gate into plantation after '13' and no nursery, only a golf course. Two mysterious matching huts in plantation. Road after '15' is now a dead end. At '15' turn left onto road and almost immediately turn left again down track. After a few yards take faint track on right through trees to fence and edge of golf course. Take track slightly right between fairways passing between bushes and a small building on left. Couldn't find path near 10th green to good track back to start, had to wander through trees and over small fence back to car.
