Description:
I parked by the car park near James Square in Crieff (Alligan Road). Sylvia was reading a book in the car. It was a steady climb from the car park through the town past Morrison’s Academy and along the Knock path past Strathearn Hydro Estate to the Jubilee Path. Lodges are now built on the estate at ‘5’. There was no sign to show the Jubilee Path route. There was a steep ascent through wooded areas to the view indicator at Knock of Crieff. A photo of me was taken by a fellow hillwalker. I continued on the path straight past the view indicator to the ‘viewpoint’. From there it was a short, steep descent to a seat by a deer fence. Despite hunting for a view at the ‘viewpoint’, Monzie Castle could not be seen through the dense mature pine woods. I returned to the car park via a broad track to Knock Road.

There were good views of the surrounding countryside and distance mountains from the Knock of Crieff
