Description:
Started the walk from Cubbington Pinehurst to the village centre, passing St Mary's Church, the Kings Head Public House and the local shops. We left the village crossing Offchurch Road and walked along the public footpath besides Thwaites Dumper Factory and Glebe Farm. Sharp right turn at the far corner of The Runghills Wood towards Redhouse Farm. Take care to select the correct public footpath at this point, there are several to choose from. Following the west bank of the River Leam we continued to White Bridge, near the weir. Here we crossed the bridge and entered Offchurch Bury Park. Signs of the equestrian course can be seen around the area, with horse jumps and water obstacles. We passed several horse and riders practicing the course as we walked through the Park to the village of Offchurch. Just after The Stag pub we turned left onto the footpath passing Manor Farm and Fields Farm buildings to the footbridge over the River Leam. From the river the path climbs steadily to South Cubbington Wood, Mill Lane and Cubbington Village. Another short enjoyable walk with John through the South Warwickshire countryside.
