Description:
Sylvia was in the car park watching surfers. Parking was £2.50. The climb to the summit of Carn LLidi was steep. There were steep cliffs so I kept to the paths. At '1' there was a gap in the wall but no steps. I watched surfers from the coastal path, then followed the path to the point of St David's Head. There was a small amount of rain at the Point. There was a good path down to a small sandy beach at Porthmelgan Bay. From the path there was a good view of Ramsey Island from St David's Head. There were carpets of flowers on the Head and Carn Llidi. Wild horses were grazing on National Trust land. I found a wild mushroom on the Head. Arthur's Quoit burial chamber on the Head was very impressive. There were also horses on the path to the summit of Carn Llidi but I skirted them through knee high thorn bushes. From the summit there were excellent views of the coast in all directions. From the right of the summit I took the path to the right and huts, towards a track. I missed the huts and burial chamber by looking for a path directly to farm buildings.
