Description:
Long drive from the M54, hence late start for walk. Parked car on side of road on the edge of the lake with fountain in full flow. Lost almost immediately at '2'. Completely lost at '3' & '4' but after much exploring, I eventually found point '6'. I had been completely misled by the presence of the new housing estate around point '4'. Way also a little awkward from '12' and '13', walk up hill away from the picnic area. When I reached '14' I realised I had wondered up Little Hill looking for '4' and '5'. I had almost covered the whole area twice. As I walked towards '3' I decided to investigate where I had taken the wrong path at '3' but even then I could not find a way through, so it wasn't surprising that I had so much trouble. A interesting walk had been spoilt by the continual worry of finding the correct direction. I once thought of using the train for this walk, but would have missed the return.

In Llandrindod Wells , in Princess Avenue.

Hazards:
Follow route with extreme caution. This is possibly the worst AA walk for finding directions. An OS map is a must for this walk.
