Village Square at Strathpeffer

Hazards:
At '3' no gates, lane continues into cornfield. At '5' paths relaid with hardcore for nature trails. original route not obvious. Follow old tractor tracks towards north to meet blue trail at cross tracks '6'. Only one gate (kissing) at '7'. Recommend the walk along the ridge northwards if time allows. Obvious wide forest track between '6' and '8', no gateway at white farmhouse only a tarmac road and barking sheep dog. At '12' gate just past cottages, no obvious left. Continue straight ahead to stile not gate at edge of plantation '13'. Between '15' and '16' bench for two inscribed 'HAPPY MEMMORIES'. Between '8' and '9' huge pine tree at YHA. Downhill from '16' to village square.
