Barnabuck Slaterich Kerrera Ferry
Description:
Narrow road to ferry from Oban. Ferry Dissapointing, only a large rowing boat with an outboard motor. Lunch at '3' before diversion to Gylen Castle (recommended visit). Hurried back to jetty just in time for 16:30 ferry. Ferry prices Adults=£2, Children =£1.

Location Map: - www.streetmap.co.uk
Parking Kerrera ferry, 2 miles from Oban.

Hazards:
At '2' farmhouse up hill on right. At '3' path to castle through gate on left before house. At '5' follow good track to left of cottage, not behind. No tracks noticed to left, as per AA page. At '10' follow track on coastal side of cottage, uphill to hairpin bends. Continue through new gates to gate just before farm turning at '12'. Viewpoint at 'E' incorrect. The island of Mull cannot be seen from this point. The view described is probably from barnabuck at 'G'.
